New York State lawmakers approved a bill that would clear a path for Congress to obtain Mr. Trump’s state tax returns, injecting another element into a tortuous battle over the president’s refusal to release his taxes.

For the first time, there are three Asian-American and Pacific Islanders seeking a major party’s nomination for president. One in particular, Andrew Yang, has embraced the strategy of using his Asian ethnicity and identity to appeal to voters nationwide.
